In this workshop, you will learn how to recognize the warning signs of older adult abuse and how to respond safely and supportively. Together, we will:

  • Learn the warning signs and risk factors of adult abuse.
  • Discuss ageism.
  • Review true-to-life video scenarios of abuse and neglect.
  • Explore how to have conversations about suspected abuse.

BC CRN Online Presentation Offering: See Something, Say Something – How to Support Older, Vulnerable, and At-Risk Adults

August 16, 2022, 11 AM -12 PM (PDT) on Zoom in partnership with the Vancouver Public Library

This presentation is designed specifically for people who have regular contact with the public and with older, at-risk, and vulnerable adults as part of their daily routines and work activities.

In this session, learn more about:

  • What abuse and neglect look like.
  • How to connect at-risk individuals to the support they need to stay safe and healthy.
  • The ethical and legal implications of responding to adult abuse and neglect in BC.
