Tri-Cities CRN Hosts Web Series, Shares Resources to Tri-City Seniors, Residents
The Tri-Cities CRN has been very active this month. Some of their community events include hosting a webinar series from September 27 to October 1, bringing in speakers to bring awareness to topics such as vaccinations for seniors; truth and reconciliation and the significance of the new September 30 National Truth and Reconciliation Day; emergency preparedness for seniors; and advance care planning.
Speakers and presenters included Derek Thompson from the BC CRN Board, CanAge, the local Tri-City RCMP detachment, and a host of others.

CRNs in Southern Vancouver Island Get Ready for National Seniors’ Day on Oct. 1
Victoria and Saanich Peninsula CRNs got a head start in promoting National Seniors’ Day in their communities with a series of media, which include a brief article in the local paper written by CRN Coordinator Gabi Townsend and a video on the topic of ageism produced by CRN Coordinator Anna Hudson and Regional Mentor Cari Taylor. Castlegar CRN Continues Hosting Seniors’ Lunches, Coffee Socials; Profiled on Local TV
The Castlegar CRN, through the Kootenay IRIS Program, continues to connect seniors and the community through their lunch and coffee social programs.
