Renfrew Collingwood is a large neighbourhood in East Vancouver. Prior to the 1890s, the area consisted of several lakes and an abundance of wildlife. Years later, the first school, which still stands today, was built. Of its population of 50,000, 42% are of Chinese descent, 20% are European, and 13% are Filipino.
