Kelly holds an MSc. in environmental geology and a law degree, specializing in human rights and environmental issues. She recently retired from the BC Ministry of Health where she held the portfolio for elder abuse prevention and issues related to access to home and community care. Prior to joining the Provincial Government, Kelly worked in corporate law and academia in Canada, as well as humanitarian/environmental law in Mozambique and Brazil.

Kelly continues her work with various provincial, national and international organizations, following her passion for social justice, environmental and geopolitical activism.
