cathy.holmes@bccrns.caSince 2014, Cathy has worked alongside non-profit agencies and grassroots initiatives to support seniors, the unhoused, and those impacted by food insecurity, mental health challenges, addiction, and intimate partner violence. Her work is grounded in equity, dignity, and collaboration, and she is widely recognized for her leadership in community development.
Cathy’s experience spans volunteer management, media and marketing, program coordination, and community engagement, including meaningful partnerships with First Nation, Métis, and Inuit communities. She is a dedicated advocate for meeting people where they are and believes in the power of relationships to drive lasting change.
In addition to her community work, Cathy is a local radio and television host and producer, using storytelling as a tool for connection and empowerment. She was nominated for the Women of Influence Awards in both 2024 and 2025, a reflection of her ongoing commitment to service and impact.
Cathy has built strong connections across Vancouver Island and throughout British Columbia. She now brings her deep experience and passion to her role as a Regional Mentor with the BC Community Response Network.
