Eva Navrot brings a wealth of experience and a compassionate spirit to
her role as the Regional Mentor for the Thompson, Nicola and Fraser
Canyon regions of the province. With a background deeply rooted in Life
Skills Coaching, Social Work, and a vast history of facilitating workshops,
Eva has dedicated her life to empowering individuals through personal
development, employment skills, and community engagement.
Having called Williams Lake home since 1979, Eva is now relocating to her
new community of Merritt BC to be closer to family. Merritt is a vibrant
community and Eva looks forward to exploring the area with her partner.
Merritt is a community of about 8000 people and serves as a hub for
many of the smaller rural areas where seniors live and require service.
Currently Eva has become a facilitator for Seniors Helping Seniors (a
branch of C.O.S.C.O.) Eva also facilitates the BC CRN workshops and will
now be able to offer even more information that is relevant to seniors.
Eva's dedication to community welfare extends beyond her professional
roles. As a volunteer for Emergency Support Services, she took on a
supervisory role in 2017 during a mass evacuation caused by wildfires.
Her commitment to aiding communities in times of crisis has led her to be
deployed to other areas during evacuations and reentries, showcasing her
resilience and readiness to lend a helping hand.
In addition to her community involvement, Eva is a devoted advocate for
new Canadians navigating the immigration systems, a role that allows her
to connect with diverse individuals and learn captivating stories from
around the world. Having immigrated with her family from Germany in
1960, Eva has maintained a deep interest in immigration narratives.
Eva's holistic approach to community well-being includes a focus on
fitness and good health. Believing that a healthy body and an active mind
