White Rock South Surrey Community Response Network

White Rock and South Surrey are separate regions, but are often lumped together due to proximity. White Rock is a city bordering Semiahmoo Bay to the south and is surrounded on three sides by South Surrey. It is also home to the Semiahmoo First Nation. White Rock is home to just under 20,000 residents, 34 % of which are seniors 65 and over.

South Surrey is a community located on the Semiahmoo peninsula in the southern portion of the city of Surrey, sharing a border with the city of White Rock. Neighbourhoods of South Surrey include Crescent Beach, Crescent Heights, Elgin, Chantrell Creek, Grandview Heights, Hazelmere, Ocean Park, and Sunnyside. The population of South Surrey is approximately 77,000, 15% of Surrey’s total population.
