Welcome to Vanderhoof, Saik’uz and area!
Look for the centre of BC on a map and you’ll find the rural community of Vanderhoof where about 4,500 people live in what is known as the Nechako Valley, not far from the Saik’uz First Nation community of about 1,000 people. Approximately one hour west of Prince George, the northern capital of BC, the residents of Vanderhoof and Saik’uz welcome you with open hearts. We are the “Heart of BC” and we do, in fact, seem to share the belief of looking after each other and doing what we can to watch out for and help our neighbours.
Please reach out if you have any concerns about someone you know (seniors or not) and the Vanderhoof Community Response Network will do our best to connect you with the appropriate information and/or any supports that you may choose to access.
This local resource list is dedicated to each one of our valued senior citizens whom we honour and cherish.
The Vanderhoof Community Response Network gratefully acknowledges that we are living, working and playing on the traditional, unceded territory of the Saik’uz First Nation.
