Smithers Community Response Network

The town of Smithers is located halfway between Prince George and Prince Rupert in the Bulkley Valley in the northwestern BC. Smithers is home to approximately 5,300 residents, and is a regional service centre to another 20,000 in the surrounding valley and rural communities. The Witsuwit’en First Nations’ territory surrounds the Bulkley River. Smithers celebrated its Centennial in 2013.
