Together, this region has a total population of over 234,000 residents, with 13% being seniors ages 65+.  The Tri-Cities area is one of the fastest growing regions in Metro Vancouver, and has attracted substantial industrial and commercial development in the past 35 years. After English, the most commonly spoken languages at home are Chinese (i.e. Cantonese or Mandarin) and Korean.
