The AI in most smart devices will automatically format the images you want to send. In some cases you may get a prompt asking you to choose what size of image you want to send depending on the app.
If you are having difficulty sending or receiving pictures or videos by text, start by checking your app settings and ensure MMS (multimedia messaging service) is enabled.
