Tim Rowe, Regional Mentor, Northern Interior Region

Covering BC's Northern Interior from Quesnel to Mackenzie and Valemount to Granisle Tim started his position as Regional Mentor for BC CRN in February 2013.

Tim's career in the delivery of health services spans over 40 years covering acute care, residential care, home care and community and population health services. His position prior to his retiring was with Northern Health as the Executive Lead for the Elder Program Council and for Home and Community Care. He commenced his health services career in England with the National Health Service. In 1991 he came to Prince George as the Health Unit Manager responsible for Public and Population Health services across the Northern Interior region. Following the regionalization of health services Tim became the Executive Lead for the Northern Health Authority and as a member of the Executive Team was directly involved and responsible for the introduction of health care regionalization and the integration of the delivery of health services, particularly in the areas of acute care and community services, across northern British Columbia.

Throughout his career Tim has recognized the importance of community engagement and community development. Building on community partnerships, including their strengths, is an approach he has followed, particularly in relation to health and wellness promotion and with the integration of health services across the continuum of care.
