  1. A Study Exploring the Impact of COVID-19 on the Mental and Physical Health of Older Adults in a Small Rural Community: What We Learned (Study, 2022): Published in the Canadian Gerontological Nursing Association’s Journal Perspectives, the study was conducted by Selkirk College Nursing in collaboration with the Castlegar Community Response Network’s (CRN’s) Kootenay IRIS program to research the impact of COVID-19 on the health of older adults and elicit ways communities and healthcare providers could support them. A subscription is required to view editions of Perspectives, but you can read the study for free here.
  2. Introducing the New and Improved Practical Guide to Elder Abuse and Neglect in Canada (2022, Webinar, Recording): In April 2022, the Canadian Centre for Elder Law (CCEL) republished the guide as a website, with modules on the law and policy in each province and territory, and links to other CCEL elder abuse resources. CCEL National Director Krista James highlighted some key aspects of the law across the country and provided an overview of the Guide and how you can use it to support your work.   3. BC Centre for Palliative Care – Advanced Care Planning (2022): This online resource takes you through the advanced care planning process step by step.
  4. 2021 24-Hour Census Report: A One-Day Snapshot of the Transition Housing and Support Programs in BC (Report, 2022): This snapshot offers some insight into the realities of Women’s Transition Housing and Supports Programs in BC.
