Chinese CRN Celebrates the 2023 Lunar New Year by Giving Back
The Chinese CRN coordinated by Daisy Au of MOSAIC partnered with the Vancouver Second Mile Society, the Downtown Eastside SRO Collaborative, the Strathcona Community Centre Association, and a large team of dedicated volunteers distributed 100 “caring gift packs” to Chinese seniors who lived alone in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside and Chinatown neighbourhoods to celebrate the year of the rabbit.

Elkford CRN Holds One of Its First Neighbours Helping Neighbours Community Events
The Elkford CRN in partnership with the Elkford Lions Club held one of the team’s first events as part of its Neighbours Helping Neighbours program at the end of January.
Seniors who were 65+ were treated to homemade soup and sandwiches courtesy of Mel’s Kitchen and a presentation from the local IDA Pharmacy on the topic of Pharmacare, medications, blister packs, and Life Kits.

Castlegar CRN Kootenay IRIS Program Back in Full Swing in January after Busy Christmas Season
If you haven’t heard about the Increasing Recreation In Seniors (IRIS) program headed by Castlegar CRN Coordinator Sandi McCreight, be sure to give their Facebook page a follow!
A busy Christmas season of crafts and activities was capped off with a bus tour of neighbourhood light displays. January showed no signs of slowing down: coffee and lunch socials, lunch and learn presentations, and crafts are back in full swing.
