Vancouver Indigenous CRN
Joanna Li, Regional Mentor – Vancouver conducted a virtual presentation called It’s Not Right! The 90-minute presentation went into detail on elder abuse and neglect and what bystanders can do about it. To request a presentation for your team or group, please contact BC CRN at programs@bccrns.ca. These presentations are free of charge.
The CRN has also created an electronic waitlist for elders who require support during COVID-19.

Castlegar CRN
Kootenay IRIS program partnered with the nursing program of Selkirk College to support a local research project that studied the impact of COVID-19 on senior mental health and wellbeing.

Houston CRN
Since mid-December 2020, this CRN has been engaging with seniors and their families on social media, sharing easy activity ideas to help with keeping busy while self-isolating as a result of COVID-19 and the cold winter months the region experiences seasonally. Join their Facebook group to see their series and to share your ideas!
Tri-Cities CRN
Ken Kuhn, Regional Mentor – Fraser Valley West is recognized with the COVID-19 Community Service Award by Rob Vagramov, Mayor of the City of Port Moody. The new COVID-19 Community Service Award recognizes an individual, community group, or business that goes above and beyond during the COVID-19 global pandemic to support neighbours in need, vulnerable groups, or the community-at-large. Congrats Ken!
