Surrey is the second largest city in Metro Vancouver after Vancouver. With a population of over half a million people, it is one of the fastest growing cities in the Greater Vancouver Area. One of its seven major neighborhoods, City Centre has a population of nearly 27,000 that forms 5% of Surrey’s total population. Immigrants and newcomers form 30% of Surrey City Centre’s population, and seniors form 13%. After English, the most common language spoken in the home is Punjabi.
