We respectfully acknowledge that we are on the traditional and unceded territory of the Secwepemc First Nations and are grateful to work and build community on this land.
The Sicamous and Enderby Community Response Network is currently being developed. A diverse group of concerned community members, service providers, agencies, businesses, and professionals will come together to create a coordinated response to vulnerable adult abuse, neglect, and self-neglect. They believe a CRN is the vehicle for achieving increased coordination of community responses by raising awareness.
Many health and wellness services, Community Living and other vulnerable adult serving social service organizations, seniors services and activities groups in this region offer supports focusing on community wellbeing. They will work together and build a network over the coming years to ensure vulnerable adults in the communities are supported through education and advocacy.
This new CRN will include the municipalities of the District of Sicamous and the City of Enderby and the Secwepemc community of Splatsin. The CRN will also include the area of Columbia Shuswap Regional District known as Area E, and the area of the Regional District of North Okanagan known as Area F. Some of the rural communities and areas served will include Malakwa, Cambie-Solsqua and Swansea Point, Mara, Grindrod, Grandview Bench, Springbend, Ashton Creek, Kingfisher and Trinity Valley.
