Powell River Assist, Community Response Network

Located on BC’s northern Sunshine Coast, Powell River is city of just over 13,000 residents with over 30% of its residents being over the age 65. Originally built on the timber, and pulp and paper industries, Powell River is also within the traditional territory of Tla’amin Nation. It’s also best known for the Sunshine Coast Trail, the longest hut-to-hut hiking trail in Canada, and its original townsite, which was designated a Canadian national historic site in 1995.
