Kitimat Community Response Network

Kitimat is located on the north coast of BC, and is part of the Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine. It’s best known as a company town as much of it was planned and built by Alcan, the aluminum company of Canada in the 1950s. Kitimat is also home to just over 8,100 people with 16% of the population being seniors ages 65 and over.
