Creston is located in the Kootenays about 10 km away from the Canada-US border. Of its almost 5,300 residents, 37% are seniors ages 65 and over. Creston’s economy has been historically based in forestry and agriculture. Fun fact: Creston is known for the cultivation of the largest cherries in the Northern hemisphere.
