Clearwater Community Response Network

Clearwater is a district in the BC interior found in the north of the Thompson River Valley. The area originally was home to the Okelhs First Nations, who were later displaced by Chilcotin nation, after European settlement, in the 1870s. Seniors 65+ make up roughly 20% of just over 2,300 residents who live in this district today. The district was named after the Clearwater River, which is known for its contrasting water clarity compared to the more opaque waters found in the Thompson River.
