The city of Burnaby is located east of Vancouver, and is part of the larger Metro Vancouver area. It’s the third largest city in BC, behind Vancouver and Surrey with a population of just over 230,000 people. Roughly 15% of Burnaby’s population are 65 years and over. Burnaby is the location for the British Columbia Institute of Technology, Simon Fraser University, and BC’s largest mall – Metropolis at Metrotown.
