Sherry Baker, BC CRN Executive Director: “We are happy to announce that we have taken the opportunity to rename our Gatekeeper program to See Something, Say Something: Reducing Risk for Older Adults to better represent the important content it contains.”
See Something, Say Something is designed for frontline essential workers and community members, who have regular contact with seniors, to learn the signs of abuse and neglect and the process to refer individuals (correctly and safely) to appropriate agencies for assistance.
(Some examples of essential workers and community members who would benefit from See Something, Say Something include grocery store clerks and workers; bank and credit union staff; medical and health professionals; lawyers and legal staff; barbers, hairstylists, and aestheticians; community centre staff; senior centre personnel; faith leaders; transit drivers; outreach services staff; and caregivers. As with all of our webinars and programs, you can request See Something, Say Something through BC CRN website or by emailing programs@bccrns.ca.
