Meetings

We meet the last Wednesday of the month 1:30 to 3:30 pm. For location and information on upcoming presentations and discussion topics, or to be on our mailing list to receive our newsletter, contact Victoria CRN Coordinator: Dianne de Champlain at dchamp@telus.net.

  • We provide ongoing professional and public education, and information on abuse and prevention.
  • We promote collaboration among community members to prevent and respond to abuse, neglect and self-neglect of vulnerable adults.

To report concerns of abuse of vulnerable adults

Accepts calls of concern of abuse of seniors and will help in connecting the caller to the appropriate designated agency and/or resources. Calls are confidential.

A community based education and awareness program designed to address issues of abuse and neglect for vulnerable adults. Trains community members to recognize the signs and symptoms that an elderly person might be experiencing difficulty and how to report their concern. Endorsed by the Victoria CRN.

Promotes awareness of the needs of abused seniors to the community, service provides, and government. Operates a legal and information referral service and a legal information counsellor available by phone. Provides educational material, workshops and training, advocacy, newsletter (Shared Concern). Promotes research, ad provides a forum for B.C. residents to work together. The Victoria CRN is a member.

Victoria Women’s Sexual Assault Centre

Individual and group counselling for survivors of sexual assault. Assistance in reporting to police, and court and hospital accompaniment.

Immigrant and Refugee Centre
A service to help immigrants and refugees. Settlement workers, ESL classes, pre-employment programs, etc.
